Untave standards

Privacy Policy

A plain-English explanation of the limited information Untave processes.

Privacy without unnecessary tracking.

Untave is designed to work with limited data collection. This notice explains what information may be processed when you browse the site, use an account feature, submit a product, or contact us.

Information you choose to provide

When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, selected topic, and message so we can review and respond to your enquiry. Product submissions and account features may process the information shown in their respective forms.

Article readership statistics

For ordinary WordPress articles, Untave records daily aggregate counts for page loads and engaged reads without storing an IP address, browser user-agent string, or persistent visitor identifier in the article statistics table. An engaged read means the page remained open for at least 30 seconds and the reader reached approximately 70% of it. Editors, known automated systems, and preview requests are excluded where they can be identified.

If you accept analytics, first-party cookies named untave_article_seen_* and untave_article_engaged_* may be stored for up to 24 hours to estimate unique readership and prevent repeated engagement counts. Without consent, Untave still records aggregate page loads and engaged reads, but does not attempt to identify a unique reader.

Google Analytics and consent mode

Untave uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager with Google Consent Mode. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad-personalization signals remain disabled. Before consent, or after you select Reject, Google tags may send cookieless measurement signals that do not use analytics cookies or a persistent browser identifier. Google may use these limited signals for aggregate measurement and statistical modelling.

Selecting Accept analytics permits analytics storage so we can understand visits, navigation, device categories, approximate location, and interactions with the site in greater detail. Your choice is stored in your browser for up to 180 days so the site can respect it. You can review or change it at any time using Privacy settings in the footer. Google processes measurement information under its own Privacy Policy.

Operational logs and security

Like most hosted websites, our server and security systems may temporarily process technical request information such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, and browser information to deliver the site, diagnose faults, prevent abuse, and protect accounts.

Contact-form abuse prevention

A one-way cryptographic value derived from the network address may be retained temporarily for up to 10 minutes to limit repeated form submissions. It is not used for advertising or visitor profiling.

Account and login cookies

If you sign in, WordPress and related site components may set cookies needed for authentication, security, preferences, and account functionality. Public registration is currently closed, but existing authorized accounts may still use these features.

Third-party destinations

Tool profiles link to official product websites. Those websites operate independently and apply their own privacy practices. Following an external link does not send Untave’s article analytics cookies to that destination.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Service providers may process limited information when necessary to host, secure, maintain, or deliver the site. Contact messages are retained only as reasonably necessary to handle correspondence, maintain records, and address abuse or legal obligations.

Your choices

You may reject analytics cookies in the consent notice, reopen Privacy settings at any time, or block and delete cookies using your browser settings. Rejecting analytics keeps analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization disabled; cookieless aggregate measurement may continue as described above. Essential account features may not work correctly when required cookies are disabled. To ask about information you submitted or request a correction or deletion, use the contact page.
